About

Kimberly Jacobs is a Black American journalist and content creator. She writes about lifestyle and culture as it pertains to women’s interest, entertainment, and the African diaspora.

Throughout her career as a freelance journalist and editor for various media outlets she became passionate about connecting the African Diaspora through storytelling. After working with an African and Muslim newspaper she recognized the beauty of the African diaspora’s differences and similarities. She has covered the news everywhere from The White House, United Nations, and Congress to local communities in Washington, DC, New York City, and Los Angeles.

In her free time she volunteers with teenagers at church and through Girls Write Now. She also created Wondrous Diaspora Journalism Workshop, for high school students to learn about the African Diaspora through journalism and media.

She also loves going to theater shows, having small intimate events with her friends, and exploring ways to development herself.

Kimberly is a Los Angeles native, alumna of Howard University in Washington, DC, and currently resides in Harlem, NY.
